#The National Association of Municipalities organized the Social Forum last week – an important event that brought together local representatives, professionals in the field and interested stakeholders to discuss the improvement of social services in Albania.
During the forum, a strategic document was presented for the improvement of home care and assistance services – an important step to guarantee better support for the elderly and adults with specific health needs.
There was also a special focus on Local Social Plans and those for Gender Equality, with the aim of benefiting from the Performance Grant – an opportunity to increase the quality and accountability in the provision of social services.
What did this forum bring?
Presentation of standardized instruments for assessing the functional status of potential home care users
Strengthening the Social Forum as a platform for cooperation, exchange of experiences and innovative ideas
Discussion on local strategies for a more fair, inclusive and equal approach to citizens
This was a step forward towards building a system:
