The National Association of Municipalities of Albania organized today an online meeting with the members of the Steering Committee of the Social Forum and the Alliance of Women Mayors and Councilors, with a focus on discussing the draft law “On Gender Equality”.

The meeting was characterized by a constructive and professional dialogue, emphasizing the importance of the active involvement of local government in legislative processes that directly affect the promotion of gender equality and the protection of women’s rights at the local level.

The Association will be committed to lobbying for the recommendations emerging from this forum to be reflected in the final version of the draft law, thus contributing to building a more comprehensive and effective framework for gender equality in Albania
