The National Association of Municipalities of Albania, within the framework of the #SoRI3 project, has supported municipalities to build more inclusive, sensitive and responsive communities to social needs.

Through the NALAS E-Learning platform, representatives of municipalities have attended trainings with content oriented towards local action, on topics such as:

Governance of migration at the local level

Social mapping and evidence-based policymaking

Commissioner for Minorities, etc.

This knowledge has been translated into practice through the Learning Cluster, where participants have jointly built concrete ideas for social services with a direct impact on the community, including:

Elbasan Municipality – Children with disabilities benefited from art therapy and music therapy, while parents and teachers were trained to provide comprehensive support.

Mat Municipality – Elderly people received help at home and elderly women were engaged in social activities and the promotion of handicrafts.

Himara Municipality – Parents and teachers were trained to protect children from cyberbullying, with support from psychologists and IT experts.

As well as Social Mapping in the Municipalities of Elbasan, Mat and Klos, helping to identify immediate needs and plan effective and targeted services.
