#Always Supporting Municipalities in the Integration Process!

Together with the President of the National Association of Municipalities of Albania, Adelina Farrici, the representative of NALAS, Elton Stafa, the representative of the Association for Strong Municipalities, Artan Rroji, EU experts, Vanja Starovlah and Darko Mrvaljevic as well as several mayors of the country’s municipalities at the consultative meeting in the framework of preparations for the first meeting of the Joint Consultative Committee Albania – European Committee of the Regions to be held in Brussels.

At the meeting we discussed the agenda of the first meeting of the Joint Consultative Committee Albania – Committee of the Regions, the priorities and main challenges that Albania will present as well as the main messages that the Albanian delegation will convey. JCCs are essential for the effective enlargement of the European Union. They prepare local and regional representatives for the requirements of EU membership and enable the voice of local and regional authorities to be heard.

Together with several other mayors, we are members of the Albanian CPC which will hold its first meeting in Brussels at the end of this month. The main benefits of participating in the CPC are the exchange of experiences and best practices with EU colleagues, building sustainable partnerships for joint projects and initiatives, preparing for participation in pan-European networks, understanding the practical implications of EU policies at the local level.
