The first meeting of the Performance Forum – an important step towards improving the quality of local government!

#ShKBSh successfully organized today the first meeting of the Municipal Performance Forum, a new initiative that aims to strengthen cooperation between municipalities and improve the functioning of Performance Units at the local level.

During the first session, the constitutive meeting was held and the Forum Regulation was approved, which determines its functioning and objectives.

In the second session, we presented:

– Job descriptions for the staff of the Performance Units in the municipality;

– Standard documents for work processes, regulations and relevant registers.

Our common goal is to create a stronger, more transparent and more efficient system for measuring and improving performance in serving citizens.

This activity is funded by the Stronger Municipalities project, a project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (Swiss Development & Cooperation) and the Government of Sweden (Embassy of Sweden in Tirana) implemented by Helvetas. The main goal of the project is for Albanian citizens to benefit from improved governance and services at the local level according to the minimum and affordable standards adopted for a sustainable system in the country.
