The National Association of Municipalities of Albania held a roundtable with the Mayors of Elbasan Municipality, Kavajë Municipality, “Lushnje Municipality”, @Mirditë Municipality, Bulqizë Municipality Official Page and Kolonjë Municipality, members of the Joint Council Albania – Committee of the Regions (JCC) to coordinate the issues to be addressed at the next meeting in Tirana. During the meeting, the most important topics for municipalities and ensuring a unified representation were identified.

The main topics that were suggested:

EU funds – opportunities for sustainable development.

Better involvement of local government in the integration process and the Growth Plan.

Fiscal Decentralization and Financial Sustainability.

These meetings are important to strengthen the role of municipalities in the European Integration process.
