The National Association of Municipalities of Albania last week participated in the “Climate Resilient Cities” Conference that took place in Zagreb, Croatia.
This regional event brought together representatives of municipalities from all over Southeast Europe, regional cooperation networks, international organizations and public institutions to discuss sustainable urban planning and strengthening the climate resilience of our cities.
The focus of the discussions were:
• Integrating climate resilience into urban mobility;
• Developing smart and sustainable cities;
• Increasing cooperation between Western Balkan cities within the framework of the Green Agenda.
The participation of the National Association of Municipalities of Albania aims to further strengthen the capacities of Albanian municipalities for sustainable mobility and adaptation to climate change, as well as to promote regional cooperation for greener, safer and more resilient cities to environmental challenges.
