The National Association of Municipalities of Albania, within the framework of the RCDN project, funded by BMZ & SECO and implemented by GIZ, held today the first thematic meeting of the Water Supply and Sewerage Forum, an important step towards strengthening inter-institutional cooperation in water and wastewater management.

During the session, the following were presented in detail:

The structure, roles and functioning of the #SHKBSH Water Supply and Sewerage Forum;

The #SHUKALB Positioning Document, which includes the objectives, sectoral context, main challenges and recommendations for structured interventions;

The role of SHKBSH and the Forum in supporting national policies and improving public services.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to joint steps and continued consultations on the position paper.

#SHKBSH remains committed to strengthening the role of municipalities and contributing to the development of more effective policies for the sustainable management of water resources.
