Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Marie Augouy, Program Manager for Local and Regional Governance at the Delegation of the European Union to Albania, in a very friendly and fruitful meeting
We discussed the opportunities and challenges of local government on the path to European integration, as well as the key role of municipalities in meeting EU standards.
The focus of the conversation was:
strengthening local capacities
increasing inter-institutional cooperation
technical and professional support for municipalities
practical challenges of approximation with the acquis
