#SHKBSH, represented by Co-Chairwoman Ms. Emiriana Sako and Executive Director Ms. Adelina Farrici, participated in the roundtable “Administrative-territorial reform 2026”, organized by the @Institute of Political Studies (ISP), within the Cluster One project, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The roundtable discussed the need for a new administrative-territorial reform, as a process with a direct impact on the organization of the state, the functioning of local democracy and local economic development.
The debate focused on:
guaranteeing a transparent and inclusive process;
lessons from the 2014 reform;
strengthening local government with clear competencies and sufficient financial and human resources;
the alignment of territorial division with demographic and developmental realities;
the impact of the reform on the European integration process.
The roundtable brought together representatives of parliament, expertise and international partners, with a focus on building a functional, long-term reform at the service of citizens.
