#SHKBSH organized the next meeting of the Thematic Group of the Water Utilities Forum, within the framework of the RCDN project and the work on drafting and consolidating recommendations for the SHUKALB Positioning Document.
The meeting was held with the participation of the Mayor of @bashkia Lushnje, Ms. Eriselda Sefa, together with representatives of municipalities and water supply companies.
The discussions focused on:
financing and investments in the water supply and sewage sector;
strengthening inter-municipal cooperation and innovative mechanisms;
approximation with the EU acquis and standards;
improving institutional coordination, monitoring and reporting;
defining priorities for a joint advocacy plan.
In conclusion, concrete steps were agreed to integrate the priorities into the Position Paper, with the aim of strengthening the role of municipalities in developing and improving water services.
