🔵 The National Association of Municipalities of Albania (#SHKBSH) organized today a consultative meeting with the Waste Management Forum, attended by leaders of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, representatives of municipalities and experts in the field.
💬 The meeting focused on discussing the draft DCM on ♻️ differentiated waste collection, as well as the role and challenges of local government in implementing this system, in order to improve policies and the legal framework.
🤝 The activity served as an important platform for dialogue and inter-institutional cooperation, in order to build a modern and sustainable waste management system in Albania.
🤝 This activity was organized in collaboration and with the support of the Strong Municipalities project, funded by the @Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC Embassy of Switzerland in Albania and Embassy of Sweden in Tirana, and implemented by Helvetas, and comes at an important moment for the reform in the waste management sector and the approximation of legislation with European Union standards 🇪🇺
