“Exchanging good practices: Empowering youth and women and integrating the circular economy in South-Eastern Europe”
💬 During the panel, they emphasized the importance of:
▪️ Empowering youth and women, as a real engine of local economic development
▪️ Municipalities have a key role in creating opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and innovation
▪️ The circular economy should be integrated into local policies as a concrete approach for sustainable development
📊 They also participated in the panel:
“Exchanging experiences of associations: Territorial reforms in Europe – lessons learned”
🗣️ Important lessons on territorial reforms were shared in this session:
▪️ The need for inclusive processes and continuous dialogue with local government
▪️ Balancing efficiency, local autonomy and quality of services
▪️ The importance of strengthening capacities and financial resources for effective implementation
🇦🇱 Representatives from Albania brought to attention the experience of territorial reform, emphasizing the need for a more strategic approach going forward, with a focus on functional and financial decentralization and improving services for citizens.
