🏛️ Meeting of the Forum of Mayors of Municipal Councils on the Administrative-Territorial Reform
🔹 The National Association of Municipalities of Albania (NAMA) organized today in Tirana the Meeting of the Forum of Mayors of Municipal Councils, with a focus on the Administrative-Territorial Reform.
📍 At the center of the discussions was the collection of concrete recommendations from local representatives on the reform process, as well as addressing the challenges and opportunities that this process brings for local governance and the functioning of municipalities.
🤝 The meeting also served as a space for the exchange of good practices between Municipal Councils, strengthening dialogue and their role in decision-making processes at the local level.
💬 Participants emphasized the importance of a comprehensive consultation process, strengthening decentralization and ensuring a more efficient local government closer to citizens.
🤝 This activity was supported by the “Strong Municipalities” project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Swiss Development & Cooperation Embassy of Switzerland in Albania and Embassy of Sweden in Tirana, and implemented by Helvetas.
