📍 EU4Municipalities – Regional Project Launch, Phase II in Himara
The National Association of Municipalities of Albania (#SHKBSH) participated as a partner in the closing activity of the regional launch cycle of the #EU4Municipalities project, held in Himara, as the third and last stop of this regional tour.
The activity opened with the welcoming speech of the Mayor of @bashkia Himara, Mr.@Vangjel Tavo, who appreciated the support of the European Union and international partners for strengthening local governance and the European integration process.
The discussion panel brought together representatives of local government and partners, with the participation of Mr. Vangjel Tavo, Mayor of Himara Municipality, Mr. Gramos Sako, Mayor of Tepelenë Municipality, Ms. Kristina Gushi, Deputy Mayor of Gjirokastër Municipality, as well as Ms. Adelina Farrici, Executive Director of #SHKBSH, and Mr. Elton Stafa, Program Director at #NALAS. During the discussions, the importance of the role of municipalities in the European integration process, the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation and the need to increase local capacities in line with EU standards were highlighted.
