Today we held the General Assembly of the National Association of Municipalities, in a hybrid format, with the participation of mayors from all over the country.
The focus of the meeting was the presentation and approval of the positioning document (White Paper) on the Administrative-Territorial Reform, drafted by experts based on the three main pillars of the reform: public services, local finances, and territory and local governance.
The document summarizes the analyses and concrete recommendations of the municipalities for the new phase of the reform, aiming to strengthen decentralization, improve local finances and increase the quality of services for citizens.
During the meeting, constructive discussions were held on the priorities of the reform and the White Paper was approved as the official positioning document of the Association, which will guide the contribution of the municipalities in the consultative process and future hearings on the reform.
