🌿We welcomed senior representatives from #GIZ to a friendly and constructive discussion on the energy transition and the role of local government in this process.
During the meeting, we exchanged views and recommendations on the challenges and opportunities that municipalities face in the field of:
⚡ Decarbonization
☀️ Renewable energy
💡 Energy efficiency
🌍 Climate action
We also discussed the impact of the energy transition on local economies, employment, skills development and support for vulnerable groups.
The meeting took place within the framework of the consultation process for the regional project “Just Transition in the Western Balkans” — a valuable opportunity to convey the priorities and perspectives of Albanian municipalities for a just, inclusive and sustainable transition. 🤝
