📍 Pogradec | EU4Municipalities continues its information sessions with municipalities! 🇦🇱 🇪🇺✨ Following the initial meeting in Malësia e Madhe, the information sessions regarding the first grant call for the “EU for Municipalities” (EU4Municipalities) project – Phase 2, continued in Pogradec. The meeting was opened by Mr. Ilir Xhakolli, Mayor of the Municipality of Pogradec, who welcomed the partners and highlighted the importance of this initiative for municipalities and the development of local communities. Representatives from the European Union, GIZ, NALAS, and the Association of Albanian Municipalities (SHKBSH) presented the project’s objectives and new funding opportunities available to municipalities. 💶 Through EU4Municipalities grants, 6 million euros will be made available to support concrete ideas, strengthen local governance, and contribute to more sustainable and inclusive communities that align more closely with European standards. Ms. Adelina Farrici, Executive Director of the Association of Albanian Municipalities (SHKBSH), emphasized that the association’s participation in #EU4Municipalities for the second time reaffirms its commitment to supporting Albanian municipalities in strengthening their capacities, fostering local initiatives, and improving services for citizens.
