Mr. Pjerin Ndreu was born in the city of Puka, on December 12, 1966. Mr. Ndreu has a rich career in the field of order and security. After completing his studies at the Higher School of the Ministry of Interior in 1988, Ndreu was appointed Inspector of the Criminal Police in Lezha and then Head of the Criminal Police in several cities, such as: Shkodër, Berat and Mirditë. In the years 1997-1999 Mr. Pjerin Ndreu held the position of Chief of the Lezha Police Station, Police Station No. 1 in Tirana and Director of the Shkodër District Police. In the years 1999-2002 he was appointed Director of the Gjirokastër District Police, Director of the Shkodër Border Police. In the years 2002-2004, Mr. Ndreu reached the peak of his professional career, where he held high positions in the State Police as Deputy Director General and Director of the Tirana District Police. Pjerin Ndreu holds the police rank of Chief Commissioner, and was decorated in 2003 by the President of the Republic with the “Medal of Gratitude”. During his service in the police, Ndreu completed his higher studies at the University of Tirana, Law Department, and then from 2007 to 2013 he was a lecturer in criminology and criminalistics, Faculty of Law “Justiniani I”. He has also attended a series of qualifications and trainings on language and national security in Germany, Canada, Oxford England, ICITAP, etc.
In June 2013, Mr. Ndreu was elected a deputy in the Albanian Parliament. In August 2019, he was elected Mayor of Lezha.
At the end of his first term, in 2023, Mr. Ndreu was re-elected for a second term as Mayor of Lezha.
