Ms. Alma Hoxha was born in Përmet, on 26.05.1972. She is married and has two children.

Ms. Hoxha graduated from the Language and Literature Department at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the “Eqerem Çabej” University, Gjirokastër.

In her first years after school, she worked as a teacher and then in 1997 she was appointed deputy director at the “Meleq Gosnishti” school in Përmet. Her experience in education would continue in the position of inspector in the Regional Educational Directorate (1999-2003) and as Head of the Përmet Educational Office (2013-2019). Ms. Hoxha was also the Deputy Prefect of Gjirokastra from 2003 to 2005.

From 1996 to 2015, she was elected a member of the Përmet Municipal Council, as a representative of the Socialist Party. She was also the Chairperson of the Përmet Municipal Council from 2000 to 2003, and in the period 2003-2007, she was a member of the Presidency of the Gjirokastra District Council.

After the elections of June 30, 2019, she holds the position of Mayor of Përmet Municipality.
