📌 Waste Forum – Discussion on the Draft Model Contract Municipality-SHPZP
The National Association of Municipalities of Albania (NAMA) organized the Waste Forum meeting, with the support of the “Strong Municipalities” project, in the framework of strengthening institutional cooperation and implementing extended producer responsibility schemes.
🎯 The purpose of the meeting was to present and discuss the Draft Model Contract Municipality-SHPZP, as a practical instrument with the aim of providing a clear framework for cooperation between the parties.
For the packaging fraction, cooperation between Municipalities and SHPZP constitutes a key element for the effective functioning of the waste management system as a practical instrument for the implementation of Law No. 74/2025.

This instrument aims to strengthen institutional coordination, increase transparency and improve the functioning of the waste management system at the local level.
🤝 The meeting was organized by SHKBSH, within the framework of the Strong Municipalities project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) Swiss Development & Cooperation Embassy of Switzerland in Albania and Embassy of Sweden in Tirana and implemented by Helvetas.
