We are pleased to share the news of the success of the online course “LNOB Social Mapping and Evidence-Based Policymaking”, developed by SIC in collaboration with NALAS e-Academy, within the framework of the project “Regional Cooperation for Better Social Inclusion at Local Level”, implemented by NALAS in collaboration with GIZ.
This intensive course was held online with 32 participants from Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, representatives of local government administration and experts in the field of social research and analysis.
During the four weeks of training, participants were introduced to the following modules:
• Module 1: Diversity Management, Gender Equality, Social Inclusion, Inclusive Policies, Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the principle of Leaving No One Behind (LNOB) and Social Mapping;
• Module 2: LNOB Social Mapping Methodology;
• Module 3: Developing Social Mapping Reports;
• Module 4: Evidence-based Decision Making;
This course was followed by an additional webinar, offering participants an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and address specific questions, marking an important step towards improving the responsibilities and services provided by local government professionals in the field of social inclusion.
At the end of the course, LGU representatives were enriched with skills on implementing the evidence-based policy-making process, using the data collected from the LNOB social map.
We are proud that this course was available in Albanian and we hope that the knowledge and skills acquired during this training will help improve the responsibilities and services provided by local government professionals in the field of social inclusion.
