The National Association of Municipalities of Albania organized the next meeting of the Social Forum, a key platform for discussion, exchange of experiences and cooperation between municipalities on social services at the local level.
During this meeting:

• We discussed and analyzed the Work Plan 2025–2026, emphasizing the most important priorities and needs of communities.

• We consulted and finalized the draft with all members, ensuring that the voice of each municipality was heard.

• We presented best practices, which can serve as models for other municipalities.

• Shkodër Municipality – “Bazat për Sukses”

A program for the empowerment of vulnerable groups through the development of basic skills, psychosocial support and career guidance. An inspiring example of promoting inclusion and social development.

Librazhd Municipality – Official Website presented a successful case of management for preventing radicalization and promoting social inclusion, where through cooperation between social services, educational institutions and security structures, the reintegration of a returned family and the inclusion of children in the education system was achieved.

• Tirana Municipality – “Adopt a Grandma, Adopt a Grandfather”
An initiative to support lonely elderly people and promote volunteerism, following the principle of subsidiarity: the service is provided where the individual lives.
Participants shared experiences, challenges and concrete ideas, identifying the main priorities for 2026 and strengthening cooperation between municipalities for a better social service for citizens. This activity was carried out with the support of Swiss Development & Cooperation (SDC) and #NALAS.
