Today in #Strasbourg, to participate in the 50th Session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, together with some of the representatives of our new delegation 🇦🇱 Mr. Pjerin Ndreu Ms. Ermira Urupi and the secretary of the delegation Ms. Adelina Farrici
🌍 This session discusses key issues for local democracy and current developments in Europe, including:
▪️ Free elections at local and regional level
▪️ Violence against local elected officials and the protection of their mandate
▪️ Strengthening the capacities of local government in the use of artificial intelligence
▪️ Social rights at local and regional level
▪️ The role of local government in facing international challenges and regional impacts
▪️ Support for Ukraine and reconstruction at local level
▪️ Implementation of human rights by local authorities
✨ The participation of our delegation in this Congress is an important opportunity to strengthen Albania’s voice at the European level, to share experiences and to contribute to the development of policies that directly affect local governance.
🤝 We also had the pleasure of meeting our Ambassador in Strasbourg, Mr. Dastid Koreshi, as well as Mr. Lulzim Hiseni, Consul General of Kosovo in Strasbourg.
