We had the pleasure of holding a meeting with the President of the Austrian Association of Municipalities, Mr. Johannes Pressl, and a large delegation of local representatives from Austria, in the context of strengthening cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of local governance.
Together with the mayors, Gledian Llatja, Eriselda Sefa, Elton Arbana and the Executive Director of the Association of Local Governments, Adelina Farrici, we discussed the organization and functioning of local government, the competencies of municipalities, local financing, as well as the challenges and common priorities for the development of local communities in the country.
This meeting represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen relations between the two homologous associations and to expand cooperation in the near future in the function of good local governance.
