✅We participated today in the periodic progress meeting of the LORAI (Local and Regional Authorities’ Initiative) project, organized by the Institutional Partnerships Unit of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
🌐 The meeting brought together representatives of the Council of Europe, NALAS, CEMR and local government associations from the Western Balkans, serving as a platform for exchanging information on ongoing activities, discussing current challenges and coordinating further steps of the project.
🎤 During the meeting, the Executive Director of SHKBSH Adelina Farrici presented the latest developments of the Reform Agenda in Albania, emphasizing the importance of the active involvement of local government in the implementation of reforms that support the European integration process. It was underlined that municipalities play a key role in strengthening good governance, increasing transparency and improving services for citizens. 🇦🇱🇪🇺
📊 Also, the work of SHKBSH within the LORAI project was presented, with a focus on the data collection process through questionnaires and interviews with high-level representatives of local government. 📝🏛️
💡 The LORAI project remains an initiative of particular importance for the strengthening of local government associations in the Western Balkans, promoting regional cooperation, the exchange of best practices and strengthening the role of local government in the European integration process. 🌍🤝
